In 2009, the Kohl Center will be celebrating its eleventh year as the home of Wisconsin Badgers sporting events.  The venue plays host to basketball, and hockey.  When the sports teams are not playing, the Kohl Center can be configured for concerts.  When all three levels are filled with fans, the attendance figure reaches just over 17,000.

Herb Kohl was given the naming rights to the building, as he donated millions to help make the building a reality.  Other noteworthy donors include Jack Kellner, and Albert Nicholas. 

It takes more than just athletics to keep The Kohl Center in a profitable position.  The venue is rented out for graduations, concerts, political rallies, and more.  Since the Badger hockey team plays there, the Kohl Center is a perfect place to have ice shows.

Artists that have toured through the Kohl Center include Bon Jovi, The Eagles, KISS, Phish, and more.
