The Milwaukee Admirals are the semi-professional ice-hockey team whose home arena is The Bradley Center. The team was founded as an amateur team known as the Milwaukee Wings in 1970. They were sold after their first season and were renamed the Milwaukee Admirals. In 1973, the team joined the USHL. The team then transitioned to the IHL until it joined the AHL when the IHL disbanded.

Wisconsin philanthropists and former Chicago Blackhawks announcer Lloyd Pettit and his wife Jane Bradley-Pettit owned the team from 1976 until 2005, when it was bought by an investor group which included Milwaukee Brewers owner Mark Attanasio, assistant general manager Gord Ash and pitcher Ben Sheets.

The team has many titles and accomplishments since their amateur days. In the 2003/2004 season, The Admirals beat the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks in the first round and continued to win against the Chicago Wolves to advance to Conference Finals. Following this, the team defeated the Rochester Americans and finally swept the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to hold the Calder Cup. Along with the exciting 2003/2004 season, the team also holds 3 Division Championship titles and 2 Conference Championships.
