Frederick Pabst was an elderly man when his famous Pabst Theater opened up for business.  The year was 1895, and the theater became the epicenter for high-brow entertainment. 

In that early time, one could see a great ballet performance, pianists, and more at the Pabst Theater.  The enormous chandelier hanging above the seating area cast a glowing light at that time, and it still does today. 

Today, a Pabst Theater fan is more likely to see cutting edge rock, pop, and country shows.  The theater is still a beautiful place, but the modern tastes of its attendees require that the venue operators keep up with the times.

The venue holds just over 1200 fans.  There are two balconies in the venue, and the stage is close to the seating area on the orchestra level.  One can say that performances are of a cozy nature.
