David Cubillian comes to Marquette via Maracaibo, Venezuela.

His first year as a Golden Eagle was during the 2006-2007 season. He had a pair of blocked shots, assists, along with five points in his very first game. He doubled his points scored in his second game and then went on to pull in five rebounds against Texas Tech.

His first start was against Providence on January 4th. Later in that same month, he was five for five against West Virginia.

His best game was against Pittsburg where he scored 20 points and had five rebounds.

During the 2007-2008 season, he sat on the bench for the Coppin State game with an ankle injury. He spent most of the season coming off the bench. Against Notre Dame, he scored eleven points, leading the reserves. He finished second in three-point scoring for the team.

A highlight for Cubillan came when he helped Marquette take the lead over West Virginia with a three-pointer.
