More Info
Dwight Burke came out of St. Benedict high school in New Jersey. He was considered to be one of the top 50 players at that time.

Tom Crean felt that Burke would make an impact right out of the box, so he made sure to get him time on the court. He averaged just over five minutes per game of the twenty he played in. Most games of his freshman year, he averaged just around three rebounds.

In his second year, he had his season high of five points against Connecticut. That same game he pulled in seven rebounds. His rebound average nearly doubled from his freshman year.

In the 2007-08 season, Burke won the Bar Miller award. He played in every game, and started in seventeen. His career high scoring occurred during the Utah Valley game. Ten of those twelve points came in the first half. That same game, he had eight rebounds.

Against the cross-town rivals UWM, he scored seven points and had three rebounds. Against the cross-state rivals Madison, he played hard and went 4-5 from the court. He matched his career high of 12 points that game. Against Pittsburgh, Burke pulled down a total of ten rebounds, with half of them coming on the offensive side of the court.

Buzz Williams looks forward to having Burke play an impact role for the 2008-09 season.
