McMorrow played high school basketball in Toronto. From there, he went on to play at Durham College where he had an 8.4 scoring average along with just under seven rebounds per game.

He is now a redshirt sophomore at Marquette. He cannot play this season, but Coach Williams expects Liam to play a role on the team in every other way.

After a detailed medical exam, it was determined that McMorrow was not medically qualified to play college basketball.
